Duralactin Canine (VPL)
What is this product used for: Duralactin is intended to be used as a nutritional aid for the management of chronic inflammatory conditions including musculoskeletal disorders (i.e. arthritis).
Availability: Duralactin is a non-prescription (OTC) product available as vanilla flavored chewable tablets for dogs and capsules for cats.
Active Ingredients: For Dogs; MicroLactin (dried milk protein) 1000mg, dextrose, stearic acid, vanilla flavoring, and magnesium stearate. For Cats; MicroLactin (dried milk protein) 200mg, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide.
How this product should be used: The suggested dose of Duralactin Canine for dogs under 40 pounds is 1/2 tablet twice a day. For dogs 40-80 pounds give 1 tablet twice a day and for dogs 81-120 pounds give 1 and 1/2 tablets twice a day. The suggested dose of Duralactin Feline for cats 12 lbs or less is 1 capsule twice a day and for cats over 12 lbs give 2 capsules in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening.
What are the side effects: Some cats may be sensitive to milk proteins and/or carbohydrates. Should vomiting or diarrhea occur, discontinue and contact your veterinarian.
What special precautions are there: Duralactin Canine and Duralactin Feline are intended for veterinary use only.
